Día de los Muertos
Thanks to Keeka Baedke from Des Moines, we had a great time celebrating the Day of the Dead a little earlier this year. We had a lot of fun making flowers and 'papel picado'. Since Día de los Muertos is all about celebrating life we had a lot of fun in class, especially when we danced to the song "Sólo se vive una vez." At first students were a little shy to dance but they eventually loosened up and had a lot of fun in class. The next step is for Spanish 2, 3 and 4 to present their boxes/'ofrendas' in class this coming Tuesday.
