Monarch butterflies are going to Mexico...

Mrs. Hess' first class came to visit the Spanish 2 class so that they could get help to write their notes in Spanish to send with their butterflies to Mexico. 

Radio Announcements

Spanish 3 is learning about restaurants and the vocabulary that goes with it and were asked to make up a radio announcement using as many vocabulary words as possible to promote an invented restaurant or their actual favorite restaurant. Here is a sample of their work.

Quinceañera

Spanish 2 will start planning their quinceañera this week. Come back to check out pictures and videos of the planning, rehearsals and the actual event. Students will be separated into different groups and will be responsible for different things. The end result will be the reenactment of an actual quinceañera and students are encouraged to dress up for the event. Here you can see a picture of last year's Spanish 4 group that participated in the quinceañera. Spanish 2 students were responsible for the planningof the trip and some of the boys had to dance too.

Spanish 1 - Week of 27th

Spanish 1 students had to study the vocabulary on their own using different resources. They were asked to create 3 different activities to practice the vocabulary. Some chose to do flashcards and games, some wrote music and stories using the vocabulary in Spanish. They were given a Think-tac-toe grid to choose the activities. The stories could be written in English and they had to add the vocabulary words in Spanish. They were all required to do at least one activity where they had to pronounce the words after they listend to them using the flashcards that are provided online for each chapter.
