Sharing with Kindergarten

Spanish 3 class prepared some traditional drinks from Costa Rica and Chile and shared with Mrs. Dicks's Kindergarten class. One was called Batido Tropical and the other Chocolate con leche. The kids seemed to enjoy it. Check out their blog to see a picture... Here are the recipes...

Leche con Chocolate para las once
Chile
1 cup of milk
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened chocolate, in pieces or chocolate chips
1 piece of orange or lime peel (grated)
1 clove

Instructions:
Combine all of the ingredients in a pan. Warm them up in low heat to melt the chocolate in the milk. Take the peel and the clove out, stir and serve warm.

Batido Tropical
Costa Rica and Puerto Rico

1 banana in pieces
1 cup of yogurt
1/2 cup fruit in pieces (mango, pineapple, strawberries)
1/2 cup fruit juice

Instructions:
Measure the fruit, the yogurt and the juice. Put all of the ingredients in a blender. Serve it in a tall glass and if desired add some grated coconut on top.
